Handmade cloaks for all occasions.
Stage Combat, HEMA, Weddings, Ceremonies, Theatrical Productions and Cosplay
"If thinking about it makes you excited, imagine actually doing it!"
I have always loved sewing and I picked up the habit again during the UK's first lockdown in 2020, making scrub bags for NHS workers and creating costume pieces for Fireside Folktales' production of Macbeth: Sleep No More.
As my first love is acting and stage combat, I'm so excited to be combining these passions and creating bespoke cloaks available for purchase!
Prices start at £52 (for optional extras see below)
+ a braided cord for £5 (photos coming soon)
HOW TO BUY
Please fill out the contact form below, letting me know which lining colour you'd like and where you're based. I will then email you a quote and payment details.
WHERE DO YOU SHIP TO
I ship all over the world from the UK. Postage fees will vary, depending on where you are based.
Post and packing:
UK - £4.35 for 1-4 cloaks
To Australia - £28 for 1 cloak, £30 for 2, £34 for 3, £36 for 4. (I recommend teaming up with some friends to share the postage costs.)
To U.S. - £24 for 1 cloak, £26 for 2, £29 for 3 and £32 for 4.
I'll be adding more country prices soon - thank you for your patience. If you're ordering internationally you may have to pay customs tax when your cloak arrives.
All cloaks are handmade to order.
The £52 cloak is lined with machine washable faux satin. It is available in a wide range of colour options (see photo) - just let me know which colour lining you'd like!
If you would like a particular cloak colour, fabric, or style that is not listed here, please message me the details and I will send you a quote and happily create it for you.
As an actor myself, I know how expensive props and costumes can be. I've always wanted my cloaks to be accessible to everyone, and decided the best way to ensure that was to bulk-buy a beautiful fabric for the outer layer, leaving the lining customisable to reflect each person's personality.
My standard cloak, therefore, is a black cotton drill exterior with a faux satin lining. These fabrics were chosen because of the beautiful way they move; I'm a combat fighter and the weight of the cotton drill looks fabulous on stage or screen.
If, however, you have a more flexible budget I can offer you a huge range of other choices!
Here are some examples of special customisations I've made previously:
FAUX SATIN TRIM
+ £20 to edge your cloak in a colour of your choice.
There is a wide range of plain cotton drill fabric I can order in just for you! The photo above features a royal blue but there are also options in Crimson, Burgundy, Emerald Green, Forest Green, Orange, Yellow, Purple, Brown, Grey, etc. This fabric costs an extra £10 per cloak.
This cloak can also be made in wool, silk, patterned fabric, etc. - if you let me know your preferences, I can gather samples and put together a quote for you.
LINED WITH COTTON DRILL
This cloak is very popular with HEMA fighters - lining the fabric with the cotton drill makes this cloak extremely durable and gives it extra weight.
This costs an extra £8.20 in black (£10 for coloured cotton drill) + additional shipping due to the added weight (this amount will vary depending on your country).
DIFFERENT LENGTHS AND STYLES
My standard cloaks are one metre long with a collar. If you would like full length cloaks, hoods, ties, etc. I can also create these for you. Give me a shout with your length and fabric preferences and I can create a quote for you.
The above photo features several costume items I made for Shadow Road's production of Macbeth in 2020, including a reversible cloak, tunic, gambeson and crown.
I have recently started offering embroidery!!
Prices range from £35+ depending on the complexity and scale of the design. Let me know what you'd like and I'll send you over a quote.
These cloaks have been designed for stage combat and therefore don't have any permanent ties attached, as these can cause problems while fighting. However, the collars are purposely fashioned to fit a length of ribbon or cord underneath them should you wish to do so (see video above).
